On select Sundays I'll be sharing a six-sentence excerpt from one of my works in progress, as part of Six Sentence Sunday.
This six is the next snippet from ONCE EVERY SPRING, my "sweet" urban fantasy WiP I'd been featuring until last week, when I plugged my hubby's new Kindle story. As a reminder from where we left off two weeks ago, Adam had told Dana that getting to the alternate reality she's apparently landed in was more complicated than merely wishing...
“So, un-complicate it for me,” Dana said.
Adam pushed his hands into jean pockets, and they resumed walking. “I’m not sure that I can. I've spent a lot of time trying to piece it together, but so far I haven't figured out too much more than what I was told.”
“Told...by whom?”
“By the wom—the person who brought me to the tree.”
