On select Sundays I'll be sharing a six-sentence excerpt from one of my works in progress, as part of Six Sentence Sunday.
This six is the next snippet from ONCE EVERY SPRING, my "sweet" urban fantasy WiP.
“Hey, I'm no expert on magical theory, but I do know it's not all trees and not all the time.” Adam turned away for a moment, his gazing landing on the tree that now appeared much smaller in the distance. “Something about jacarandas makes them unique.”
Dana fought a sudden urge to forget sheer, scientific logic to simply lie on her back in the meadow to bask in the warming sun with the man beside her. “Even if jacarandas are the magical bomb, a decent hoard of people should still be here. The world must have thousands of them, so there's got to be more to it.”

Nice Six, J. Rose! I always knew there was something magical about those purple jacarandas!
