Discovered Bathing-Six Sentence Sunday

~~~~~
On select Sundays I'll be sharing a six-sentence excerpt from one of my works in progress, as part of Six Sentence Sunday.
For this week's six, I'm posting another snippet from ONCE EVERY SPRING to celebrate the fact that it's now available! It's my first "sweet" urban fantasy/alternate reality, pubbed under my moniker Lisa Logan. It was a lot of fun to write.
With a giggle, Dana pushed off from the bottom of the silt bed and shot up out of the water, flipping her hair back like she was a sultry mermaid emerging from the depths.
Her glee was short lived. She opened her eyes to find Adam standing on the edge of the stream, an undecipherable look on his face and his hands on his hips as he stared at her. She let out a shriek-gasp and threw her arms over the bare torso he’d just caught a full view of.
“What the hell are you doing?” she fired off at him.
“I was going to ask you the same thing.”
  8. I don't know which is better, her pushing off the silt bed or the shriek-gasp.
  10. The uninhibited joy of skinny dipping, followed by the shock of being discovered -- great contrast and description of both. Definitely a cliffhanger that would keep me reading.
