What a Blow it Had Been -Snippet Sunday

~~This week's snippet contains brief mature themes~~

On Sundays I participate in 8-Sentence Sunday by posting snippets of my works in progress.

This week's snippet is actually from NATURE'S BOUNTY, my steamy bounty hunter romance available from Ellora's Cave. (edited for length)

So, the whole stripper disguise had just been a ploy for Nate the bounty hunter to mix business and pleasure in one blow--and what a blow it had been. The size of his cock and the way he used it, well, that was something she would not let herself think about again until she was reporting this entire incident to the authorities.

When Nate finished yanking open the last dresser drawer he said, “All these are empty.”

“With brains like that, no wonder you went into detective work,” she said, rolling her eyes.

While his back was turned, she glanced at the door that was several feet away from where he was standing.

“Don’t even think about it,” he said, shoving hangers around. “I’d be on you before you could make it five feet.”

“Gee, doesn’t that sound familiar?”

Nature's Bounty by J. Rose Allister
Ellora's Cave Moderne, On the Hunt series

When Nature Antillean, aka Nate the Crate, poses as a male stripper to arrest a beautiful and vulnerable fugitive, he discovers both of them are targets of a setup. Lydia Franklin teams up with her seductive bounty hunter captor in more ways than one, but the criminal he wants to protect her from is one she must face alone.
