On Sundays, I share tidbits of my works in progress as part of Weekend Warrior’s 8-Sentence Sunday. And since I'm currently participating in NaNoWriMo, I'll be posting a little weekend wrap-up at the conclusion of today’s snippet.
My NaNoWriMo project is a paranormal (erotic) romance titled DISARMING COWBOYS, book 7 of my Lone Wolves of Shay Falls series. Currently, the heroine has just hatched a plot to escape the cave where a hot werewolf has taken her to declare his intentions.
“Don’t do this,” David said, getting up on his knees. “Don’t go out there alone. It isn’t safe.”
She feared he might rip the chains right out of the rock wall, but his restraints against him yanking them with his teeth clenched and his body shaking with effort. What an image he
made, collared wild like her own personal slave with his eyes
glittering, his body shining with sweat and his cock dangling long
and inviting between his parted thighs. David gave a whole new meaning to her
idea of a cave man.
“I can’t stay here
with you, David,” Jayel said, her pulse protesting loudly while she watched admirable muscles strain against his bonds. “I can’t sit around in a cave while there’s a battle to wage.”
So what do you think?
End of Week 2 -Heading into Week 3 NaNo wrap up:
The dreaded Week 2 doldrums didn't exactly hit me per se, but my progress still slowed a bit thanks to coming down with a cold that kept me in bed two mornings. Nevertheless, I'm about to cross the 40k mark into the final stretch, so I can't exactly complain! The same cannot be said about my heroine, unfortunately. Every time that poor girl turns around I've got her in some new kind of trouble. At present she's on the run and about to discover some consequences for having used her feminine wiles as a distraction.

Hot damn...definitely a new meaning to the word cave man. I'm loving this...and her strength too. Ready to go into battle despite the clear pleasures she could have right there.
ReplyDeleteWell that was certainly a hot excerpt! Raises all kinds of questions, which is good...can't wait to read more. Excellent excerpt!
