On select Tuesdays I share delicious recipes either inspired by my books or that are just plain delicious! Today I'm happy to have special guest J. Annas Walker, author of the House of Dracul series, who's here to share her delicious cake recipe!! Take it away!
CHOCOLATE PEPSI CAKE
Ingredients
2 c.
flour
2 c. sugar
2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. marshmallows
2 sq. baking chocolate
1 c. Pepsi
1/2 buttermilk
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. marshmallows

1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 375
degrees. In large bowl combine flour and sugar. Melt in small saucepan butter,
marshmallows, baking chocolate and pepsi. Pour over flour mixture hand mix
well. Add the buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and milk. Continue to hand mix
until well blended. Pour into square or oblong cake pan that has been greased.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 or until done. Pour icing over hot cake while it’s
still in the pan.
PEPSI ICING
Ingredients
1/2 c.
butter
6 tbsp. Pepsi
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
6 tbsp. Pepsi
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions
Melt together butter,
Pepsi and cocoa. Add 1 box powder sugar and walnuts mix well and set aside.
When cake is done baking pour icing over top while still hot.

I started my love affair with vampires as a kid by reading Bram Stoker’s Dracula. It was the only vampire book our little local library branch had back then. Then, I discovered mail order books and fell in love with the tortured characters in Interview with a Vampire. In the mid 80’s, the most amazing thing happened! My family bought a VCR, and I was finally able to see movies! All the vampire flicks I could beg for flickered across the screen, making the love affair into a passionate, lifelong relationship. Today, I write fantasy and paranormal romance and never pass up a chance to pair up vampires with the less-than-usual characters. Witches and elves currently top my list. I love weaving vampires into legends and myths where none exist. It’s my private world of the erotic, weird, and wonderful, and I invite every reader to go along for the ride.
