Peter being who he was, he couldn’t help
but notice the assistant was an attractive man. Fucking hot, actually. Features
like his would have been right at home in a men’s magazine, but his eyes were
the most striking. There was an eerie intensity to that gaze, one
that gave Assistant Boy an almost feral quality. As their eyes met, there was a
brief moment when Peter pictured that stare peering from among the foliage out
in the lobby jungle. The eyes of a sleek, seductive predator ready to spring on
unwary prey.
