Monday Musings for the New Year

New Year GraphicsHappy New Year!

It's that time when everyone's popping open the bubbly, packing away the decorations, and making resolutions of all sorts. Long ago I made a resolution to never make "resolutions" per se, but I do like to set goals for the coming year.

Here are my 2013 writing goals:

1. Spend more time on the blog.

2. Release a new book every 1-2 months.

Ironically, one of my goals last year was to STOP spending time on the blog for a while so I could focus on releasing more books. But I missed it!  So this year I'm back and ready to kill two birds with two stones. Be on the lookout for more recipes on Tuesdays, six-sentence excerpts on Sundays, and some other surprises and guests.

On the writing front, I have a new series of MM/werewolf tales in the works, along with the final two books in the Lone Wolves of Shay Falls series. I also have a stand alone fantasy and a contemporary novel that I hope to see release sometime over the next several months. I haven't been writing short stories for a while since I've been so busy working on all these books, but I do have a few ideas skittering around the far recesses of my brain. And speaking of brains, I'm getting ready to help edit my husband's first full-length novel, a zombie book he wrote during NaNoWriMo. It's a far cry from his usual short erotica, but a fun ride full of humor and wicked action nonetheless. I couldn't be more proud!

That's it for now! Wherever you are and whatever you hope for, I wish you a gracious and fulfilling New Year. Farewell 2012.

Hunt, Feed, Mate-Six Sentence Sunday

12:30 AM 0 Comments

Some of you may have heard the announcement that the official Six Sentence Sunday is ending in January. Be that as it may, I will keep posting my own snippets on select Sundays.

This week's is from my work in progress, PETER AND THE WOLF (edit: a Siren bestseller! BUY LINK)

He stared at his reflection, expecting to see his face morph into something unnatural at any moment. He felt unnatural, like an alien transplanted into another body. Soon, he would run free with the night. He would hunt. Feed. Mate.
