Evading His Grasp-Six Sentence Sunday

~~~~~
On select Sundays I'll be sharing a six-sentence excerpt from one of my works in progress, as part of Six Sentence Sunday.
This six is the next snippet from ONCE EVERY SPRING, my "sweet" urban fantasy WiP.
Dana threw up her hands. “Oh, right...magic. Of course.”
She laughed, and then was promptly punished for her smug attitude by tripping over a smooth stone lying in the grass. Adam made a grab for her, but she righted herself and slipped out of his warm grasp. If she could wish male perfection into a dream, why couldn't she envision herself as the epitome of stylish grace with designer resort wear and a professional makeup job instead of limp, half-rinsed hair?
