Simple Six-Ingredient Brownies

It's Too Yummy Tuesday!

On select Tuesdays I share delicious recipes either inspired by my books or that are just plain delicious!

Ever get that hankerin' for brownies but you don't have any mix (or desire to run to the market)? Make these from scratch with what's in your cupboard! They are easy and quite yum. For a special treat, stir in some chocolate chips before pouring your batter in the pan.

Simple Six-Ingredient Brownies

Ingredients
1/2 c. butter
6 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. unsifted self rising flour

Preheat oven to 350. Grease  9" baking pan. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat, stir in sugar and cocoa until dissolved. (Do not overheat, as the eggs in the next step will cook!) Remove from heat. Add eggs one at a time, stirring well after each. Stir in vanilla and flour until combined. Pour into pan and bake 20 to 25 minutes until toothpick comes clean.
