A Dragon's Guide to Romance with Valerie Twombly and Caleb
Thank you for having me here today, I am beyond thrilled. I
thought it would be fun to have Caleb, the star of Fatal Desire, do the guest
post today. So allow me to introduce you to one sexy dragon. Caleb, the
spotlight is all yours.
Wow. Great, I’m freaking thrilled. This should be a ton of
fun since I was told by my creator I had to be nice and no swearing. WTH? She
also insisted I talk about romance. The woman is pure evil I tell you. Who in
their right mind would ask a dragon to write about romance? One thing I’ve
learned is there’s no point in arguing with her so it was either do it or burn
this place to ash. Be happy I didn’t choose the latter.
So, what does a dragon find romantic you may wonder? First
off, the things I can do with my tongue will cause…
“What?”
*sigh* Writer lady is giving me the evil eye and said I had
to keep it clean. “Fine!” *mumbles under breath*
One thing a dragon likes to do is dominate. Shocking I know.
I for one think it’s romantic when the female takes the lead in bed. I’m a
liberal man and am more than happy to let her have her way.
“Now what?”
*long pause* “Christ sake’s woman. You asked a dragon about
romance, what did you expect?” *growls* I’m going to ignore her and give you
the low down.
Dragons love sex and lots of it. It’s rare we stick with the
same woman more than a few times. Now don’t go getting your panties in a bunch.
It’s simply the nature of the beast. However, when she comes along. The one chosen only for us, all others cease to
exist. Nothing in the world matters except her pleasure and happiness. Every
breath we inhale is only for her. Every choice we make is with her in mind. We
will kill for her and die for her and should she ever depart,
we will become a shell of our former self. Only living because duty says we
must.
That is romance from a dragon’s perspective. Now I suggest
you buy the damn book since I practically tortured my creator into writing it.

As a child, Valerie would often get
into trouble for peeking at her mother’s favorite TV show, Dark Shadows. She
can still hear her mother saying, “It will give you
nightmares.” She was right of course, but that did not stop Valerie from
watching. As an adult, her love of the fanged creatures never waned. She would
watch any vampire movie she could find.
Being a true romantic, Valerie was thrilled
when she discovered the genre of paranormal romance. Her first read was one of
Lara Adrian’s, Midnight Breed Series and from there she was hooked.
Today, Valerie has decided to take her
darker, sensual side and put it to paper. When she is not busy creating a world
full of steamy, hot men and strong, seductive women, she juggles her time
between a full-time job, hubby and her two German shepherd dogs, in Northern
IL.
