# Contests # NaNoWriMo

Final Winners! "Best NaNoWriMo Line Written" 2010!!

WE DID IT!! NaNoWriMo 2010 is officially history. You may have laughed, cried, shouted profanities at your computer in frustration, or breezed through the whole thing...but even if you gave up because life or mood got in the way, YOU DID IT. You participated in a monumental challenge that few would even have set their minds to try. So a big round of applause for all who came, saw, and tried to conquer--whether you hit the magic "50k" mark or not.

Before I can announce the GRAND PRIZE WINNER and runner up, it's time to announce the Week 4 Winners!!

FIRST PLACE: lolly “How am I supposed to have faith in someone who can’t even make toast?”

RUNNERS UP:

ARealHope “Sorry, this is the therapeutic calm-down elevator."

AND

BritishHobo “They’ve got the finest army in history, gathered together by an evil super villain genius with the sole intention of destroying us, and we’ve got a teenage boy, a man who doesn’t exist, Gandalf the Grey, a group of Celts, all the sheer dumb luck in the world, and a god damned bee.”

Congrats! Each of you will receive a special award graphic, suitable for sticking on your website, blog, Facebook, or wherever. Our First Place winner was also advanced to the semi-final round...and let me just say that it was a TOUGH decision. But alas, of the four great lines, only one could become Number One and another the Runner Up. SO, without further adieu, here it is...

::tearing gold-leaf envelope::

The winner of the BEST NANOWRIMO LINE WRITTEN for 2010 is....

Starwild- There was simply no arguing with Royalty, he thought, even when it was only three feet tall.

And our 2nd place runner up: lolly- “How am I supposed to have faith in someone who can’t even make toast?”

LOLLY will be receiving a special award graphic and a little goody bag of candy and other treats! And STARWILD will be receiving the Grand Prize award graphic, along with a goody bag and a $5 Starbucks card. I will also be interviewing Starwild here on my blog soon. Congratulations to both of you.

Thanks to everyone who entered--it was a real thrill to read everyone's favorite lines during the long (sometimes endless!) dog days of NaNo. If you enjoyed this contest, I hope you'll follow/subscribe to my blog and/or friend me on Facebook: http://facebook.com/jroseallister. Until next year, may all your lines be favorites. :)
